Kara is a mostly self-taught potter. She began pottery as a hobby nearly 17 years ago. After finishing a fine art degree, she worked in marketing for 10 years. Pottery kept her sane during her time in the corporate world.

In 2015, Kara left the day job to follow her dream to set up her own studio. She gathers inspiration by walking the coast paths of England. In 2020 Kara wrote her first book Pottery for Beginners. Kara lives in a tiny cottage in a village just outside of Bath, UK with husband and two kitties Luna and Flora. Kara enjoys trying not to fall off horses and surfs.
