Greta Joachim

Greta Michelle’s knack for art is hereditary. Surrounded by a sewist mother and a grandmother who was both crafter and entrepreneur, she started experimenting with clay in 2012 — and has never looked back. Working with clay forms a connection to childhood memory. By making these seemingly ordinary objects by hand, she seeks to luminously elevate the experience of eating, drinking, and gathering — moments for you to make memories of your own.

Greta has taken part in exhibitions both locally and internationally and is a registered member of several artists’ organizations, including National Artist’s Registry of Trinidad and Tobago and the National Council for the Education in the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) in the United States. She was recently named one of the 2022 Multicultural Fellowship Awardees from NCECA; one of 20 from hundreds of applicants.
